What to expect
You'll feel welcome from the moment you walk in.
We're a congregation that notices people. Expect a warm greeting at the door and friendly faces who are genuinely glad you're there. No one will put you on the spot or ask you to stand up as a visitor. Just come in and settle in.

One hour on a Sunday prepares us for the week ahead. God is always present, but there is something special about gathering with other people of faith.
-
We begin our time with greeting one another with the peace of Christ. We acknowledge how each person is made in the image of God. We welcome one another in God’s name.
We welcome children of all ages here. There is a designated space for families with children to sit and play. It is easy to come late and join in the back or slip out early if your little ones need attention. Don’t be surprised if a church member offers to sit on the floor and play with your child. -
Did you know that singing with others combats loneliness, builds friendships, and connects you to a greater purpose? We sing together led by a music leader and accompanied by a piano. You don’t have to have a great voice to join in with the words on the screen. Our songs are part of our prayers and praise to God.
-
We are honest that being human is difficult. We pray and admit that God is God and we are not. We ask for God’s forgiveness for our words and actions that hurt other people, harms we have done to the planet, and our inactions in the face of injustice.
Then, we hear God’s eternal forgiveness and grace. In receiving this reassurance, we become less critical of ourselves. When each of us remember that we receive second chances from God, we are more able to extend compassion to others who are struggling.
-
Music inspires our deeper connection with God. We listen to the Spirit of God as we sing, listen to instrumental music, our chancel choir, and occasionally our bell choir and special guests. Our choir offers a special song that connects to the spiritual theme for the day.
-
We take the Bible seriously, seeking God’s will, while realizing much of it is written in figurative language. Each worship service is centered around scriptures and how it helps us understand how God is still relevant in today’s world.
-
The pastor preaches and shares how the scriptures are relevant to our contemporary context. Sermons are focused on God’s values such as forgiveness, love, peace, joy and hope.
-
We pray for and with one another, sharing the hard parts of life. We believe we do not need to suffer alone, God is there to guide and help through a time of grief, doubt, difficult decisions or uncertainty.
-
We notice specific moments when God works in us, with us (and sometimes despite us). We share volunteer opportunities where you can also join in making the world a little bit more like heaven.
-
We exit worship to reenter the challenges of the week, knowing how God inspires us to love the rest of the week.
-
Everyone is invited to Fellowship time. We gather with coffee, conversation, and the kind of easy connection that's hard to find in everyday life. It's a real chance to meet people and build community.
